Unique chill tours in Saigon

Saigon from a
Saigonese perspective.

I run small food tours, city tours, and some chill tours I created in Saigon. Small group, led by me or one of my trusted team.

Adults only · 18+, every small group walk. Heavier history and stories most tours skip. (Travelling with kids? Private tours work for families too, just message me 😌)

The Saigon you'd find if you had a friend here.

I suck at marketing and designing website, but I think my tours are pretty good. You can read some reviews below :)

Every tour runs small. Max 6 for group walks, or go private just for your crew.

I like small group like this so you can always make some friends and it's more relaxing.

Early Riser Walk

My favorite tour to run. It captures the essence of Saigon. We will experience very local breakfast spots, Vietnamese coffee, the chaotic market. The best time to see Saigon 🥰

I know people outside Saigon too.

Not a company, not a booking service, just people I've met along the way and liked enough to keep in touch with. Guides in Hanoi, guides in Da Nang and Hoi An, aunties here in Saigon who run cooking classes I'd send anyone to, a couple of spas for when you need to sit still for an hour. I don't earn anything from any of it, I just send you to people I like. It's not a list I'm going to hand you. Message me where you're headed and what you need, and I'll match you with the right person.

I also wrote down everything else I know about Saigon and the rest of the country, quests, foods, day trips, the whole thing, in the Vietnam guide.

Meet Spring

Hi, I am Spring. I was born near Saigon and grew up here. I have been guiding tours since 2018. Saigon is the only city I've ever known, and I still find corners that surprise me.

What our guests say

★★★★★

"We ventured through shortcut alleyways we never would have tried, ate with locals and by the end of the tour we were able to cross those hectic roads like locals. Spring introduced us to a variety of dishes and fruits we had not tried before. All delicious. Thanks Spring for a great first day in Vietnam."

"Spring double checked our dietary allergies at the beginning, so we felt confident there'd be no nasty surprises. She gave us the knowledge and confidence to move away from the safe, predictable tourist eateries and look for where the locals eat. It's impossible to describe just how good the food was. We would definitely ask her for another tour."

★★★★★

"This was my first ever food tour, and what a place to do it in Ho Chi Minh City. The food was absolutely incredible, ducking and weaving alleyways to all the local spots. Trying all the foods I would have never been able to experience otherwise. I really cannot recommend this tour and Spring enough."

Questions we get asked a lot

Booking and payment

Pick a tour on this site and book it, or message me on WhatsApp or Zalo if you want to ask something first. I reply as fast as I can, usually within a few hours.
No. You can pay me in cash at the end of the tour. Cash is still king in Saigon and ATMs are everywhere. VPBank ATMs let you withdraw with a foreign card easily. If you would rather pay online before you arrive, you can do that here with PayPal.
You are not risking money either way. Pay cash after the tour and you pay nothing until it is finished. Pay online and PayPal handles the transaction, so your card details never reach me. I have been guiding since 2018 with 2,700+ reviews across Airbnb, GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor, Google and Viator. Booking here just means the money goes to me instead of a platform taking its cut.
Not in person. Cash on the day, or PayPal online before.
Free cancellation up to 1 day before the tour starts, full refund if you already paid. Inside 1 day I have usually already bought things and turned other people away.
Message me. A late start is usually fine, we just shorten the route a little. If the delay is big, we move you to another day.
Often yes. Message me on WhatsApp and I will tell you straight away what is free.

Who you are walking with

Usually me. When I am fully booked it is one of the guides I trained myself, and I tell you who before you pay, not after. Same route, same vendors, same pace. If you want me specifically, say so when you book and I will tell you honestly which dates I have.
Six maximum, and often fewer. Private tours are just your group.
Not at all. A lot of my guests come alone and six people maximum means nobody disappears into the back of a crowd.
Group tours are 18+. Private tours work well for families and I change the pace and the food to suit. Message me with their ages and I will tell you what I would adjust.

Food

I have been eating at these places for years. I pick stalls where the food moves fast and the cooking happens in front of you. That is the real test, not how clean the plastic chairs look. If your stomach is sensitive, tell me before we start and I will steer you around the riskier things.
Yes. Vegan, vegetarian, no pork, no seafood, nut allergies, all fine if you tell me when you book. I also run a fully plant based walk, listed on HappyCow. Just do not wait until we are standing at the stall.
Yes. All the food and drinks on the tour are included. You do not need to bring cash for the stops.
Yes. Everyone underestimates this. Come hungry and skip the meal before.
Of course. Nobody is forced to eat anything. Say no and we move on.

On the day

About 2 km across three hours, with a lot of sitting down to eat. If you walk around a city on holiday, you can do this. If a knee or a hip limits you, tell me and we shorten the route or take a taxi between stops.
Yes, if you ask when you book. Some guests prefer it, especially in the evening or if walking is hard for them. Tell me and I will arrange it.
Hot. That is why the morning walk starts at 7:30 and the evening tours start after dark. We stay in shade and alleys where we can, and we stop often.
Comfortable shoes and an appetite. No need to bring water, drinks are included. Sun cover for the morning walk if you burn easily.
Saigon rain is heavy and short. We sit down, we eat, we wait it out, and it has usually passed within half an hour. If it is genuinely raining all day, we move you to another date or refund you.
For private tours, yes, if you are in District 1, District 3 or Binh Thanh. Group tours meet at a set point instead.
I send you the meeting point on WhatsApp after you book, with a photo of the spot so you cannot miss it.
It is safer than it looks and crossing the road is a skill you learn in about ten minutes. Walk slowly, do not stop, do not run backwards. The scooters flow around you. I will show you on the first crossing and by the third one you will be doing it yourself.
One day is exactly what this is built for. Tell me your ship times when you book and I will build the walk around them. The port is a couple of hours from the city, so leave room on both ends.
Ask me on the tour. I get asked constantly and I am happy to tell you where I would go, what I would skip, and what things should cost.

I can bring you peace of mind.

I run unique food tours and city tours in Ho Chi Minh City. But I can also help design a custom Vietnam itinerary, or point you to the right people for other parts of your trip. I have trusted connections across the country. Drop me a message and we figure it out from there :)
